Getting ready for school success is about more than buying school supplies. Children need to know not only basic letters and numbers but also how to get along with other kids and teachers, how to pay attention, and how to solve problems when things don’t go their way. Kids in Transition to School (KITS) is a two-generational, strengths-based program designed to help children and families be successful in school. Children learn essential school readiness skills in a fun and supportive environment. Parents and caregivers build their abilities to support successful learning and behavior at home and school. And educators gain skills that help to reduce their stress and create collaborative relationships.
